This video demonstrates how open source data from Regulatory Data Corp can be used inside Palantir to find fraud, waste and abuse. In the video we use RDC data alongside federal contract data from USASpending.gov to find suspicious contracts. We find:
- Contracts awarded to contractors previously associated with bribery and the FCPA
- Possible waste and abuse by a contractor billing for a duplicate payment
- A lack of oversight on contracts awarded to contractors with a history of fraud.
RDC’s entity-extracted, risk-coded data is a powerful addition to Palantir’s analytic platform. Palantir allows analysts to quickly search this data source for risk-relevant entities, understand what makes them risky, and get directly to the source data to find out more.
