Palantir Government
Unstructured Workflow Training Video
by Jason on June 3, 2009
Most of our videos on the Analysis Blog so far focus on the sexiest of Palantir’s analytical capabilities: novel geospatial analysis, powerful statistical analysis, advanced link analysis, etc…
However, many Palantir clients focus heavily on unstructured information: cables, message traffic, operation summaries, patrol reports, law enforcement encounters, key leader engagements, NGO reports, etc. So how do Palantir users analyze structured networks hidden in up to hundreds of millions of text, Word, PDF, and HTML documents?
This video shows how the sausage is made. In this training video we will cover topics including: Document Filtering and Searching, Tagging or Structuring of Objects, and Linking Tagged Objects. While it’s a bit longer than most of our blog posts, we highly recommend watching through (or skipping) to the last section about link tagging, as it is one of the highest rated features by analysts throughout the community.
